IIIT Hyderabad MSIT Notification 2012 - GAT and Walk In Entrance
The much awaited MSIT 2012 notification and dates have come out!. The prestigious programme of the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad and JNTU Hyderabad will commence from 20th August 2012. The admission test for MSIT 2012, names as GAT 2012 will be held on 24th May 2012. MSIT (Master of Science in Information Technology) is a three year Masters course jointly offered by IIIT Hyderabad, JNTU Hyderabad, Osmania University, Andhra University and Sri Venkateswara University. The joint venue known as Consortium of Institutions of Higher Learning (CIHL) will oversee the programme. The programme has been attracting MNCs for placements. JNTU and IIIT Hyderanad students are getting about 100 percent placements. Following are details of GAT Exam structure, year wise course fee, eligibility requirements, walk in entrance and application procedure for MSIT 2012:
Eligibility and Qualifications: Candidates should have passed in B.E./ B.Tech with any branch. Candidates with PG (M.Sc.) in Computer Science or Mathematics or Statistics and those have MCA degree are also eligible to apply. There will be Walk in Entrance facility where candidates can appear for the test at any time during 19th April 2012 and 23rd May 2012 in the designated centers. Selection of the candidates will be a three stage process. Following are these stages: 1. Stage I - Graduate Aptitude Test. 2. Stage II - Listening Comprehension and Counseling. 3. Stage III - Preparatory Course. Specializations offered in the course are Computer Networks, E-Business Technologies, Information Security, Software Engineering, Language Technologies and Education Technologies.
IIIT - Hyderabad will held an entrance examination called GAT 2012 on behalf of all the participating institutions. Candidates shall appear for Walk In Entrance Test on any Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Eduquity Career Technologies Private Limited, 403, 4th Floor, Myhome Sarovar Plaza, Secretariat road, Hyderabad- 500063, For details of this entrance exam registrations and time slots, please contact phone: 040-23243010.
Fee Details of MSIT Programme for 2012:
1) For Preparatory Course: Rs.15,000
2) Programme fee per year: Rs.1,20,000
3) Laptop Fee: Rs 35,000
4) Fee for 2nd year and 3 Year MSIT programme: Rs.1,35,000
Application Procedure: Interested candidates can apply online through MSIT website www.msitprogram.net . Cost of application is Rs. 600. Application fee should be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of 'CIHL' and payable at Hyderabad.
